Snehasangamam 2008

The Snehasangamam 2008 (Encounter of La Salette Seminarians) was held at La Salette Nikethan, Mysore from December 26 to 29.  It was attended by all the La Salette Seminarians from different stages of formation and 11 La Salette Priests, guests from Ethiopia Rev. Salala and Fr. Philip from Myanmar. The inauguration of the Snehasangamam was on 26^th evening with the unveiling of emblem, and declaration of Motto. Fr. Provincial Andrews Kollannoor and Vicar provincial Fr Biju were the chief guests of the inauguration ceremony.
On the first day of Snehasangamam there were the sports competitions and on the second day there were classes on St. Paul by the rector of Manthavady Minor seminary. There were also group sharing and cultural evening. Fr. Achandy CMI was the chief guest of cultural night. The scholastics from Goa presented the short version of the famous drama us and them.  On the last day there were some final matches of sports activities and at 11.30 am there was concluding mass celebrated by Fr. Provincial. In the afternoon of 29^th December the evaluations of Snehasangamam and prize distribution were held. Different houses took leadership in organizing the adoration, prayers and Mass in various days. Every day there was a la Salette Theme for the prayers and Mass.  Snehasangamam after 5 years was a great success and all the seminarians felt the importance of having it.
